Ludhianvi is the leader of Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamaat, a radical Sunni group with an offshoot, the Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, that has been responsible for attacks that have killed hundreds of people in Pakistan, many of them minority Shi’ite Muslims.
