Sri Lankan PM was sacked over assassination plot, says President Sirisena

Sri Lanka’s president Maithripala Sirisena said on Sunday that the main reason he decided to sack his prime minister Ranil Wickremesinghe was the alleged involvement of a cabinet minister in a plot to assassinate him.
