Hurricane Douglas threatens Hawaii as Hanna downgrades to tropical storm

The Category One hurricane had moved north of Maui as of 3:00 pm (0100 GMT Monday) and was about 90 miles (145 kilometers) east of the capital Honolulu, according to the National Hurricane Center.
